NAA NYM is excited to bring to families a team of experts from ENJOY to help parents and caregivers in a hands-on workshop problem solves ways to make, phones, tablets and similar mobile devices more accessible to their loved ones with special needs.

The workshop will address what accessibility means, where you can find accessibility options on your device, different features available, and how those features could be beneficial to people with various challenges. Some specific topics include: motor control, learning, location monitoring, hearing impairment, and low vision accessibility. This introduction will provide knowledge and resources to families about accessibility options available to them. If you have a device – bring it along! If you are thinking of getting a device for your loved one as a holiday gift, this workshop can help you determine if their are accessibility options to make a device appropriate for your loved one with special needs. Please note that this workshop is for adults only and also does not address devices that are strictly augmentative communicative devices (such as Dynavox).
ENJOY, based in Menlo Park, California, was founded in 2014 and currently provides services in the NYC and SF Bay areas. Their mission is to help people get more out of the technology that is important to their lives.

Frances grew up in Union, New Jersey and received a bachelor’s degree in Art History at Rutgers University. Her career in technology started in college, working part time at the Apple Store. In 2013, she worked alongside assistive technology specialists at United Cerebral Palsy of New York City in their TechWorks department, finding and providing free resources for individuals with special needs.
For the Past seven years Chris Daly has been introducing people to new technology that will improve their lives. He is an experienced trainer and facilitator.
Natasha is an Enjoy Expert from the New York market where she shares her knowledge of technology with customers of all ages. Although her educational background focuses on Video & Audio Production she has a passion for learning and teaching. Before working with Enjoy she spent a few years as a Genius Administrator at Apple and a few years in the Television industry. Natasha is currently working full-time sharing the joy of using technology and freelancing in the production industry.
