NAA NYM teamed up with Eric Chessen MS, Roxanne Chess MS, OTR/L and a team of volunteers for a fun and active afternoon in Central Park. Our event was held on the west side of Central Park on the lawn outside the Specter Playground, near 85th and Central Park West.
Kids and their families had fun navigating fitness stations with Eric Chessen, including ball squats and rope work. This time out we also were joined by Roxanne Chess of Atlas for Autism, leading the kids through energetic yoga poses. Kids took away a book of poses so they can practice at home for next time.
We will be planning a similar event for early November, so watch you inbox for our annoucement or check back to our site for updates. See below for lots of photos of this fun event!
NAA would like to thank Roxanne Chess and Eric Chessen for leading the event. A special thanks to all the volunteers from Autism Fitness, Energetic Juniors, Empowered Sport and Fitness, and Kicking the Spectrum.
